Admission
Admission is open to boys and girls without any distinction of caste, creed, community or religion and in accordance with the periodically revised CBSE Bye-laws. Admission is normally offered only to Class 1 in April every year. Preference for admission in Class 1 will be given to students from the Chinthalaya Nursery school, a sister organization of the Chinthalaya Vidyalayam. Admission to Class 11 will be based on the results obtained by the candidate for the class 10 Board Examinations and the admission procedure begins as soon as the results of class 10 of AISSE X standard results are declared. In other classes, casual vacancies arising from time to time will be filled up after testing the eligibility of the applicant for admission. Formal applications are issued to the selected candidates on payment of the prescribed fee.

Curriculum
The school follows the CBSE curriculum and the medium of instruction is English.

Age
The minimum age for admission to any class will be as per periodically revised State Government prescription.

Application
(i) For Registration : Application for registration to various classes in the Vidyalayam should be filled up by parent/guardian in the prescribed form which will be available from the School after the first day of January of a calendar year on payment of registration fee prescribed by the Trust Board. Those who seek admission for the first time must produce a certified extract from the Register of Births from the competent authority showing the date of birth of the pupil. The birth certificate, as stated above, is mandatory for the admission of the student

(ii) Time limit: Registration of pupils for the academic year will begin from the 1st day of January preceding the academic year. Admissions will commence in April and will be notified in the Notice Board of the Vidyalayam. The admissions will ordinarily close before the re-opening of the school except for class I. Admissions for class I will continue for one week after the re-opening of the school. Admissions of students at any other time will be made only with the sanction of the Governing Body except in the case of students applying for admission with Transfer Certificates.

(iii) Transfer Certificate: No student from any other school will be admitted to any class without the production of a Transfer Certificate from the other school .The exception will be for those applying for admission to class 1 and private study students with valid documents and reasons. Transfer Certificate from other states should be counter-signed under the seal of the competent authority of the State where the student was previously studying.
